Our micro-school in Budatétény opened in September 2018, currently, we work with children of two different age groups: preschoolers are now between ages 3-6 and primary school students between ages 6-10. The fundamentals of our work are project- and experience-based learning. We learn in interdisciplinary learning units, which give an opportunity for our children to deepen in the learning materials.
Campona’s team is project- and experience-based: instead of 45-minute-long classes used in public education, our school offers long-term educational units, helping children to fully immerse in certain subjects. Learning is easier through personal, joyful experiences.
We focus on 21st-century abilities and skills: teamwork, cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity come to the foreground instead of constant competition. Courses are in English: we believe that learning English will increase the number of the children’s future opportunities. Native English teachers assist us in this particular field every day.
We are up-to-date: we develop our digital competence and become acquainted with computer science – keeping age group-specific devices and content in mind. We mind our future: by spending a large amount of time outdoors, children are encouraged to do exercises, respect nature, and learn about environmental awareness. We are having fun: we create an emotionally safe, inclusive, and joyful environment, where making a mistake is not considered as a problem – quite the contrary: it is a chance to improve.
