While last year BPS students performed above the national average in the entrance exams, this year we took it to the next level: BPS students significantly outperformed the national average in both Hungarian and mathematics.
Moreover, this year's applicants achieved average scores in both subjects that match those of students applying to AKG High School. This demonstrates that BPS students can consistently perform at a high level, even in a standardized assessment—despite not having spent years practicing for central tests.
In the Hungarian central entrance exam, 73% of BPS students scored above the national average. This indicates that their reading comprehension and language skills are strong and that they can effectively apply their knowledge even in a standardized test environment. This year’s average Hungarian score increased by 4 points compared to last year, signaling further improvement in BPS students' performance in this area—even though this year's test was significantly more challenging than the previous one.
In mathematics, 77% of BPS students scored above the national average, once again proving that they can successfully apply their acquired knowledge. This year, the average mathematics score improved by 4.5 points, a remarkable increase.
After the central entrance exam, most BPS students chose the following schools:
The wide range of applications shows that BPS students continue their studies in diverse directions and confidently find their place in both alternative and traditional education systems.
