Sebesi-Sziklai Fanni

What does teaching mean to me? Everything. I can't imagine my life any other way than surrounded by an army of children. For me, the most important thing in this wonderful profession is to find who and how to motivate one by one. There is something unique and special in every child, I consider it my mission to discover this.

In my free time, I go hiking with my husband and my dogs, I read, and I manage my book club of more than a thousand people.

In 2003, I graduated from Kecskemét College as an English teacher, then studied as a Montessori teacher at ELTE faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. After that, I obtained the teacher's professional exam.

I could best express my mentality, energy, enthusiasm, and attitude to life with my favorite quote from Jenő Heltai: "Whom the gods love, they leave forever as children."

Wilk-Igari Eszter

I am Eszter Wilk-Igari, a teacher of mathematics.

In 2012 I graduated from the Faculty of Teacher Education and Early Childhood Education at Eötvös Loránd University, and then I was admitted to the Master's programme in Education at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, where I passed the state examination in 2014. Since graduating I have been working as a teacher and joined the Budapest School team in Budaörs in 2023.

Mathematics has played an important role in my life since childhood, which is why I chose this direction in my studies. I try to pass on my enthusiasm to my students, as I believe that emotional attachment helps students to learn at an early age. I believe that it is important to nurture talent, and I like to walk with the children through mazes of alternative mathematical solutions.

As a child and teenager, I danced folk dance and took folk singing lessons for many years. I still love singing and I try to pass on this joy to my students. I believe in the community-building power of singing together, and in my work as a teacher I have often experienced the developmental effects of music.

In my spare time I like to bake and cook. An old dream of mine came true when I completed an adult education course in culinary arts. I have also had the opportunity to gain experience in running a gastronomy camp for school children. I believe that learning the basics of cooking can improve a lot of areas: sustainability education, healthy eating and, last but not least, mathematical units.

Földesi Andrea

I started my Reform Pedagogy studies at the Waldorf Teacher Training Program in Bucharest, then I studied Montessori Pedagogy at ELTE, and finally I continued my studies at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Psychology and Education.

I started my teaching career in 2005 at the Talent Montessori School in Cluj-Napoca, where I led age-integrated classes with fellow teachers and then continued in a Montessori kindergarten. I started teaching in 2017 at BGC, and later at Budapest School Budakeszi in a mixed age group.

It is important for me to share my experience to continuously learn and create forums where my fellow educators can do the same, so I started a now working teacher methodology group on Facebook (now with nearly 13,000 members).

Currently, I am a lower education organizer and mentor at Budapest School, where I can take full advantage of my twenty years of experience.

I believe that a good teacher should provide children with a mentally and physically safe, free environment where they can gain a solid knowledge base, roots, and from where they can soar towards their goals.

Bede-Kiss Noémi

I am Noémi Bede-Kiss, teacher of Mathematics and German. I graduated from Eötvös Loránd University in 2016 and after graduation I was working at a multinational company. I joined the team of BPS Budaörs in Nov 2021. I teach mainly mathematics and related workshops. Outside of school I am a board game geek, I also like to bake and have nice long walks with my dog, Latte.

I graduated from university as a teacher of Hungarian language and literature. My mission is to educate people to become readers. In my classes, I strive for subject integrity, the development of abstract thinking and the development of emotional intelligence. My goal is for my students to become thinking adults.

Zátonyi Pál

At Budapest School, I really experienced what it feels like to work in a community where teachers work in true partnership with each other and with parents, and where they really work in the best interests of the children.

My childhood dream came true when, 20 years ago, I left my technical career and enrolled at the Teréz Brunszvik College of Education. As a young professional, I had the good fortune to learn from the only male head of a kindergarten in the country at that time how to raise children as partners, to raise interested, open-minded and healthy children. In the meantime, I studied at the Berzsenyi Dániel College in Szombathely, where I became a teacher of biology and environmental protection.

In organising learning processes, I put a lot of emphasis on experiments and experiential self-guided learning.

I find it important to train our body and to love nature. I try to do a lot of tinkering with the children, doing tangible projects where we consistently go through every process from idea to implementation with the team.

Geréb Zsuzsanna

I graduated from ELTE with a degree in American Studies / Film Theory and Film History, along with a degree in English / Motion Picture and Media Studies in 2012. In 2020, I graduated from PKKE-BTK with a degree in Literary Translation. I worked in a language school for four years, and since 2018, I have been teaching in primary and secondary schools. I joined the team at Budapest School Budakeszi in the spring of 2020, where I hold English and media classes for the children. My primary goal is to make them fall in love with the English language and encourage them to communicate. During media sessions, I consider the acquisition of independent and critical thinking to be the most important in order for them to become understanding and conscious media consumers.
